GNU Gettext is used around all strings ; messages.po comes with kort so if you create new translations, please send them to maintainer also. As kort runs in UTF-8 locale it also expects the strings in translation to be in UTF-8 ; if mbstowcs for some reason fails when reading the translated strings, kort will not start and it will print and unlocalized error message :)
